The Duval County Public School Board is expected to vote on supplemental sexual reproductive health and disease prevention curriculum during their Dec. 6 meeting. In accordance with F.S.S. 1003.42 and 1006.29(2), the district must provide parental access to curriculum materials for review. Information on these supplemental materials is available on the health education webpage.
Parents and guardians can see middle school materials at their schools and online. High school parents, guardians, and community members can access high school materials from the health education webpage.
Community members interested in reviewing materials can also visit the main School Board Building, 1701 Prudential Drive, where they will be directed to the Office of Professional Development. These materials will be available for review between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday. These materials are not permitted to be checked out or leave school grounds or the district office.
