July 8, 2021 - 11:30 a.m.

All operations are back to normal, and there will be no further updates regarding Elsa. 

 

July 7, 2021 - 4:20 p.m.

All summer programs and activities will return to normal on July 8, 2021. 

 

July 6, 2021 - Noon

All Duval County Public Schools student-related summer programs are canceled for July 7, 2021, in anticipation of the impact of Tropical Storm Elsa.

This includes Summer Rise, summer school, all summer camps, and all other extracurricular activities.

 

Twelve-month employees should report to work as normal or may take leave according to normal procedures.

 

July 5, 2021 - 2 p.m.

Duval County Public Schools will be open and operational as normal on July 6, 2021.

The district continues to monitor the storm.  We will update this page prior to 5 p.m. each day, or sooner if there are any changes to announce. The next update will be on July 6.

The district continues to monitor the storm. However at this time, there are no decisions or announcements.

Duval County Public Schools is in contact with area emergency management agencies tracking the potential impact of Elsa on the region. 

At this time, the district has made no decisions regarding any potential changes to district operations.
