2021-22 Back to School Letter to Parents

Sallye B. Mathis

July 14, 2021

Greetings Cardinal Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write this letter welcoming you all to the 2021- 2022 school year. This year we are “Sailing to Success: Ready, Set, Sail” as we continue moving our students to academic excellence. While we have a new theme, our mission/vision is still the same, “Creating a safe environment that promotes problem-solving, critical thinking, character development and academic excellence for every student, every class, every day.” We are dedicated to developing a strong academic foundation that will carry our students through secondary learning and beyond.

I want to thank our parents and guardians for remaining connected during the pandemic. Because we are transitioning students back into the building full time, I want you all to be reminded of a few expectations:

  1. School Uniforms and closed toe shoes are mandatory
  2. Students must arrive to school and properly wear face mask daily

I look forward to you all joining us for our drive-thru style Student Orientation that will be held August 6th from 1:00 pm 3:00 pm by grade level/ Department. During this time, you will be able to meet and greet some of our faculty and staff, receive pertinent information about the school year, supply lists, TEAM Up, and order school uniforms. Also, please continue to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and visit our school website for up-to-date information and events happening this school year.

Orientation Drive-Thru Times:

  • 1:00-2:00pm- VPK, PreKDD, CSS Department, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade
  • 2:00-3:00pm- 2 nd - 5 th Grade

On behalf of our staff, thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. It is going to be great year “Sailing to Success.”
