Greetings TLAM family!

This is Principal Williams. The second quarter report cards went home and posted to FOCUS on last Tuesday. This week, we are celebrating Literacy Week with activities to support and encourage reading for all students, all grade levels. We are asking students, faculty, and staff to wear black and white on Monday as the kickoff for Literacy Week. For more information regarding the week long activities, please view the Literacy Week attachments. We will continue with PM2 make ups. Early Release is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25^th with a dismissal time of 2:30pm for students. Please mark your calendar to note that we will have our annual Mid-Year Stakeholders meeting on Monday, February 13^th at 5:30pm in the Media Center. Our annual Mid-Year Stakeholders meeting is where all stakeholders are invited to receive information regarding the current state of our school including student data, review our School Improvement Plan, and our Operating System. This meeting will be in conjunction with our monthly PTSA/SAC meeting.

As we transition to the third week of the third nine weeks, students are to come to school daily with their charged district assigned laptop, planner, student ID, and a clear or mesh backpack. This is a great time for you to update any information on your child’s blue card or FOCUS. Please review the attached weekly activities calendar to plan accordingly for any upcoming dates. Our next PTSA/SAC meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 17^th at 5:30pm. The link for the virtual option will be provided at a later time.
