FYI - Automated Communications
-
Receiving automated communications
- Once you create a parent account and link it to your child, you will begin receiving automated messages from your child's school including phone calls and emails. These messages contain important information including attendance info as well as possible emergencies at the school.
-
If you're not receiving automated communications
- If you are not already receiving these messages, it could be one of several reasons:
-
- The parent/guardian does not have a linked parent account – A parent needs to have a Parent Account that is linked to their child to receive these automated messages. Follow the steps above to create one.
- Incorrect phone number/email – The phone and/or email may be incorrect. Parents can review and update their contact information in OneView. They can log into OneView, click on “My Contact Info” and click on “Edit Info” to update their information as needed. Allow 24 hours for changes to go into effect.
- Miscellaneous – In some cases, the parent has done everything right. They have a parent account that is linked to their child, and their contact information is correct. In these cases, please contact us at dcpsnews@duvalschools.org so that we can troubleshoot.
