April 22, 2025 –  Boundary changes are being considered for 13 Westside-area elementary schools, and stakeholders are invited to provide input into this important conversation beginning Thursday, April 24.

The discussions involve proposals that would not go into effect until after the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.

The meeting – to be held at Cedar Hills Elementary at 5:30 p.m. in the media center – consists of both a community meeting and an ACE (Academic and Community Excellence) process meeting. The ACE process is where a working group of engaged stakeholders is formed to review the data, history, and facts related to a topic or proposal in order to develop recommendations for the superintendent.

The 13 elementary schools that may be impacted are:

  • Bayview

  • Cedar Hills

  • Crystal Springs

  • Gregory Drive

  • Hidden Oaks

  • Hyde Grove

  • Hyde Park

  • Jacksonville Heights

  • Normandy Village

  • Ramona

  • Ruth Upson

  • Sadie Tillis

  • Timucuan

Following the ACE process, the district will make a recommendation which will go before the School Board for action.

The meeting is open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment.
