Aug. 4, 2026 – Applications for Free & Reduced-Price Meals for the 2026-27 school year are now available online.
Families with children attending one of the district’s 37 schools that do not participate in the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) are encouraged to apply online if they would like to receive assistance with school meals.
Families whose children attend a CEP school do not need to complete an application. Breakfast continues to be offered free of charge to all students, regardless of the school they attend.
Who should apply?
The majority of Duval County Public Schools provide meals at no cost to students through the CEP program. Families with children enrolled in these schools do not need to submit an application.
Families only need to complete an application if their child attends one of the district’s 37 non-CEP schools and they are seeking assistance with school meals.
No application is needed if:
Your child attends a CEP school.
Your family does not need assistance with school meals.
You received a letter stating that your child was “Directly Certified through the Florida Direct Certification System.”
After you complete an application
The district will notify families of their meal eligibility status within 10 business days of submitting an application. Eligibility results will be sent by email to the primary custodian listed in the district’s records.
