Sept. 17, 2026 – Duval County Public Schools is proud to celebrate our 32 outstanding seniors who have been named semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program!

The semifinalists represent Atlantic Coast, Douglas Anderson, Wolfson, and Stanton high schools. They are among more than 16,000 semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program, selected from more than 1.2 million high school juniors who took the 2025 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The Finalist stage is the next round in the competition for our semifinalists. To be considered, students and a school official must submit an application detailing their academic record, school and community involvement, leadership, work experience, and honors and awards.

About 95% are expected to advance to the Finalist level, with finalists announced in February 2027 and scholarship winners announced beginning in April through July 2027.
