Due to the rise in construction costs and charter revenue-sharing requirements, some projects are on hold as the School Board considers long-term changes to the Master Facility Plan. While new major projects are on hold, safety and security upgrades, and schools already under construction are moving forward.

Detailed progress reports are completed each quarter. Additionally, the Oversight Committee completes an annual report to the School Board. These comprehensive documents share how half-penny funds are being used and what phase projects are in across the district.

Through the half-penny funding, 28 new schools will be constructed. New school projects can involve mergers of smaller schools into more efficient buildings, new school boundaries, and temporary school assignments while new schools are under construction.
