FSCJ Early Admission

Early Admission is a form of dual enrollment through which eligible high school juniors may apply to enroll in a postsecondary institution, Florida State College at Jacksonville, on a full-time basis for both the fall and spring semesters of their senior year. The dual enrollment courses are used both toward completion of a high school diploma and the associate or baccalaureate degree. 

Students enrolled in a DCPS high school by November 1st of Grade 11, will be in a DCPS traditional high school for Grade 12, and meet all of the eligibility requirements may apply to participate in Early Admission in which he/she could attend FSCJ full time for his/her senior year.

Currently, students must have an unweighted 3.5 GPA when Semester 1 grades post in Grade 11; meet the reading and math test requirements for high school graduation; met the online course requirement; have College Ready PERT/ACT/SAT scores; have completed the following courses: English I, English II, English III, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Biology, World History, US History, HOPE, a performing fine art, two years of the same world language; and be able to complete their remaining credits needed for high school graduation in their first semester at the college senior year following the scheduling guidelines as students may not be enrolled in any additional courses outside of his/her college course schedule at FSCJ.

Interested students who are GPA eligible may inquire with his/her designated high school dual enrollment coordinator to verify they meet the eligibility requirements, find out about the process for testing, applying, and registering for classes.

Current College Ready Scores:

  • PERT: Reading – 106, Writing – 103, Math – 114,

    • ACT: Reading – 19, Writing – 17, Math – 19, OR

    • SAT: Reading – 24, Writing & Language – 25, Math – 24.
