To drum up excitement about Smoothie Station, a new menu concept being piloted at Englewood High School, students had the opportunity to sample our new smoothies during lunch service on January 12.

Smoothie Station is a pilot program held in partnership with the Florida Dairy Council and is intended to introduce clean-label dairy-based fruit smoothies as a potential grab-and-go entree option for secondary school lunch. The pilot launched at Douglas Anderson School of the Performing Arts this September. Englewood High School will be the second school added to the pilot program.

With over 600 samples handed out, students tasted several smoothie flavors, including strawberry banana, mango, and mixed berry - all being added to their lunch menu as a new entree option starting the following week.

The students had fun getting into the dairy theme by posing for pictures with some of our swag giveaways, including cow sunglasses, milk mustache stickers and Croc shoe charms, courtesy of the Florida Dairy Council.

Early data suggests that these smoothies will be a popular entree choice for lunch with more than 375 sold over the course of three weeks. We look forward to rolling out this pilot at more high schools this spring.
