TEST PREP BOOTCAMP FOR PARENTS
Coaching from District Experts during the Final Stretch
Duval County Public Schools is thrilled to host a test preparation “boot camp” for parents, “A Parent’s Playbook for K-12 Testing: Coaching from District Experts during the Final Stretch.” This engaging event will feature breakout sessions for parents led by district coaches and will offer a valuable opportunity to navigate the complexities of student testing. Equip yourself with the knowledge and resources necessary to enhance your child's performance on upcoming state tests and college admission processes.

Breakout Sessions for all grade levels offered including:
Parent Marketplace - each parent will receive a $100 voucher to shop for educational resources to use at home with their student. The Parent Marketplace will feature manipulatives, reading materials, college prep materials, online subscriptions, English Language Learner materials, technology, and more.
Reading and ELA - Elementary, Middle and High School tested grade levels.
Math - Elementary, Middle and High School tested grade levels.
Science - Elementary and Middle tested grade levels.
Social Studies - Middle and High School tested grade levels.
Understanding Data Reports - parents will receive an overview from the Assessment Team on how that can understand and use the reports they are able to view online.
Early Learning strategies and resources to assist with learning and successful transition.
Strategies for students and parents who are English Language Learners.
Testing strategies and info for parents with students who have special needs.
College Readiness, ACT and SAT Preparation.
Career Assessments parents can use with students.
Strategies to assist students (and parents) who struggle with test anxiety.
Strategies parents can incorporate at home the weeks and days prior to testing.
Strategies for earning Scholarships.
Free resources and toolkits for all parents.
Door Prizes, translation services, childcare, breakfast, lunch and snacks.
