A Parent Champion is a volunteer parent or guardian designated by each school's principal to serve as a support to their respective schools within the areas of improving academic achievement and increasing school enrollment.

November is Family Engagement in Education Month

Team Duval Encourages families, caregivers to get involved in their children's education during Family Engagement in Education Month.

This November, Team Duval is partnering with the State of Florida to celebrate “Family Engagement in Education Month,” a time dedicated to highlighting the importance of incorporating the whole family in a child’s educational journey. The district’s Family Engagement Department has made it easy for families to get involved by providing free resources, including an activities calendar and a digital pledge.

Oct. 30, 2024 - The Duval County School Board recently approved a new Five-Year Capital Plan, formally committing funds to specific capital projects throughout the district. This plan, which was approved at the Oct. 1 Board meeting, includes funding for several projects in the district’s new Master Facilities Plan (MFP).

Cell phones to be off and inside bookbags during class per 2024-25 Student Code of Conduct

Unless a teacher gives permission, students will need to keep their cell phones off, out-of-sight, and inside their bookbag or purse during class according to the updated 2024-25 Student Code of Conduct.
