Crisis Aware
Crisis Aware Grant provides crisis/suicide prevention awareness training to FSS Therapists, School Social Workers, School Counselors and School Psychologists to quickly identify any student at any school with a crisis-level mental health concern and provide de-escalation strategies to keep the student safe while connecting to appropriate resources.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a 2-day training teaching how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive. These skills are valuable skills can be utilized inside or outside of the school setting with a youth or an adult.
LivingWorks Start teaches trainees to recognize when someone is thinking about suicide and connect them to help and support through a 90-minute online interactive training session.

Project Thrive
Thrive overview: THRIVE is a research-based program in partnership with the University of Florida and the Medical University of South Carolina. The goal of THRIVE is to strengthen schools’ ability to identify students who may be struggling behaviorally or socially/emotionally and provide them with targeted interventions and supports. The program uses enhanced universal screening, ongoing data review, and a structured problem-solving process to help schools make data-driven decisions about student needs. THRIVE is a two year program for participating Elementary schools. This work is implemented in cohorts of 13 Elementary schools participating in THRIVE. Each school establishes a THRIVE team that includes administrators, school counselors, school social workers, teachers, FSS therapists, and other community partners. There is a THRIVE Coach working with schools and community partners utilizing data based decision making to identify and support interventions for students in need.
