Enroll in Duval

2025 - 2026 kindergarten enrollment begins December 1, 2024. Before beginning the enrollment process families should make sure they have the proper documentation on hand. Required documents include: birth certificate, Florida certificate of immunization/exemption, a physical exam less than 12 months old, and proof of residence. For examples of documents used to show proof of residence, please visit the New Student Enrollment page.

After gathering all necessary documents, you can complete the New Student Application Form online. If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, you can complete this step at the main office of any Duval County Public School. Upon completion of this form, you'll receive an email confirmation from the school district. Your neighborhood school will contact you within three business days to confirm enrollment and welcome you to their school community.

School Choice Application

The School Choice application window for the 2025 - 2026 school year is December 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm. The application can be accessed in your Linked Parent Account.

During the application window, the district will host two School Showcase Saturday events providing the opportunity for families to visit schools to meet leaders and staff, ask questions, and attend campus tours.

Elementary School Showcase Saturday - December 7, 2024 | School Tour Times: 9 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM *GRASP Academy, John Love Early Learning Center, and John E. Ford K - 8 schools will be participating in the Elementary School Showcase Saturday.

Middle & High School Showcase Saturday - January 11, 2025 | School Tour Times: 9 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM *Ribault Middle School will host tours at A. Philip Randolph High School and Ribault High School will host tours at Ribault Middle School.
