Excelling in Academics, Arts, and Athletics
North Shore School of Advanced Studies, Integrated Arts and Sports Development focuses on all three – Academics, Arts and Athletics – in unique amenities not found in other Jacksonville VPK–5 schools. With a full music suite, full art studio, two science labs, an intermediate room with gym equipment obtained through a special grant, a primary workout room, and a learning kitchen, students get a well-rounded education. That is what North Shore is all about: academics, arts, and athletics. Balanced education for a balanced life.
A School Experience That Sticks With You
Our students create such wonderful memories at North Shore, and the experience stays with them for generations. The fact that we have children whose parents and grandparents went to school at North Shore is a testament to our incredible teaching staff. Nearly 60% of our teachers have master’s degrees, and their method is inspired by reflective planning that considers the individual needs of each child.
State-of-the-Art Amenities
What does North Shore have that is rarely found at other elementary schools? A TV production room for our in-school news studio, two computer labs, two science labs, a workout room, and a full gym. In fact, North Shore is one of only two elementary schools in Jacksonville with a designated gym.
Academic Enrichment Hours After School
The learning does not stop when the bell rings. TEAM UP is a free after-school program that provides up to three hours of quality tutoring each day, making sure students are where they need to be academically. The added time gives students the opportunity to focus on areas for improvement. It is one of many unique support systems that students and parents enjoy at North Shore Elementary.
