This is Principal Johnson. I’m excited to share a new learning opportunity for our students that’s starting very soon. Our school has been selected to participate in the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief grant, which will give our students additional reading, writing, and math instruction to help fill the gaps created during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is called Getting in G.E.E.R. and will include Saturday school with transportation, breakfast, and lunch included. It will be each Saturday from August 15 to October 31 during the hours of 8:30-2:00. The grant also includes a virtual component in which students will login twice a week after school for an hour of extra support with their teacher. Please visit our school website, (Dojo messages, etc.), or call the school for information on how to register your child for the program. Calling all parents! Would you like to get involved with the PTA or simply volunteer in your child's classroom? If so, we have the perfect opportunity designed for you. All past, present, and future volunteers must attend if you have not done so already. All volunteers must be cleared before becoming involved in any volunteer activities, chaperone field trips, or eat lunch with students. Additional training dates will be set throughout the year.
