May 14, 2026 – At Alimacani Elementary School, students are taking an active role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for their peers – especially those from military families. Through the school's Anchored 4 Life program, student leaders are helping new classmates feel seen, safe, and connected from the moment they arrive.
Military children often face the challenge of moving to unfamiliar places, leaving behind friends and routines. Recognizing this, Alimacani students step up as ambassadors, offering campus tours, friendly introductions, and a sense of belonging. Their goal: to ensure that no student feels alone.
Members of the Anchored 4 Life club say one of the most important things they can do is be there for others. By sharing their perspectives as fellow students, they help ease fears and build connections that make the transition smoother.
Whether it’s a warm greeting, or a small act of kindness, these young leaders are making a difference one friendship at a time.
