Chaffee Trail Middle School is a brand-new middle school geared toward “restoring pride to the Westside!” At CTMS, our Mustangs will use good judgment, show kindness, think first, accept responsibility, not lose sight of our goals, and give respect. Together, we are Saddled up for Success! CTMS aims to provide high-quality instruction while equipping our students with tools and lessons that can help them to be successful as they pursue their education. We have a great mix of students and staff from all over Jacksonville, and together we are making history as the Chaffee Trail Middle School Mustangs!
Parents love Chaffee Trail Middle School because of the strong sense of community we foster. Located on Jacksonville’s Westside, our school brings together families from diverse neighborhoods like Argyle, Ortega, and Riverside, creating a close-knit environment where everyone feels connected. We take pride in our parent involvement, particularly through our dedicated PTA, which plays a key role in shaping student activities and enhancing school life. Whether it’s organizing events or collaborating with teachers, parents appreciate how engaged they are in their child’s education. Many parents express how much they value the personal attention and sense of belonging that Chaffee Trail offers, making them feel like part of one big family.
Students at Chaffee Trail Middle School love the vibrant and welcoming culture we offer. Located near NAS Jacksonville, our student body is a diverse mix of military families and students from nearby communities, like Oakleaf and Normandy, which creates a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Students also appreciate the wide variety of programs and activities available to them. We offer enriching academic programs such as AVID – which prepares students for college readiness – as well as hands-on learning experiences through our agriculture program. For students interested in the arts, we provide theater, music, and art programs that allow them to express their creativity and develop their talents.
In addition to our academic offerings, Chaffee Trail is home to a robust lineup of extracurricular activities. Students can participate in a variety of sports including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, swimming, track and field, baseball, and flag football. These opportunities allow students to explore their passions, build teamwork, and stay active. Our students love the strong relationships they form with their peers and teachers, as well as the exciting blend of academic and extracurricular opportunities that make their time at Chaffee Trail memorable and enriching.
This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of marketing and sales. Topics include understanding customer behavior, product promotion, pricing strategies, and the role of sales in the marketplace.
This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of coding and computer science. It covers topics such as logic, problem-solving, and basic programming languages.
In this program, students learn about plant and animal science, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. The curriculum may include topics like soil health, crop production, livestock care, and agricultural technology.
Drama programs provide students with an opportunity to explore theater arts. Students learn about acting, stage production, script analysis, and performance. They engage in creative expression through rehearsals and performances while also developing public speaking and teamwork skills.
An after-school program designed to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. It operates in partnership with schools, community organizations, and local governments to offer safe, structured environments for students during non-school hours.
