Feb. 22 Announcement
In-person instruction to safely resume Tuesday, Feb. 23
Fort Caroline Middle will safely reopen TOMORROW for in-person learning.
The school has been thoroughly disinfected and cleaned, and is ready to receive students and staff.
*Some of you may have received personal instructions from the Department of Health to quarantine for additional days.
If that is the case, please follow those instructions, and do not return to school until the conclusions of your quarantine period.
As before, we will continue with the same stringent COVID-19 health protocols such as facial coverings on the bus and in school, desk barriers to help with social distancing, and frequent opportunities for hand washing and sanitizing.
Please also support these efforts by following the same guidelines outside of school.
We know the sudden transition to Duval HomeRoom posed challenges.
Thank you for the effort and support you showed to make the transition as smooth as possible!
We look forward to seeing our Fort Caroline families, students, and staff once again tomorrow.

School temporarily converting to Duval HomeRoom Feb. 18 - Feb. 22
Dear Fort Caroline Middle families and staff,
As you know, we have been informing you about multiple cases of COVID-19 impacting our school community.
Because of the number of recent cases and the impact on our school, we will transition all students to online instruction through Duval HomeRoom beginning Thursday, Feb. 18 through Monday, Feb. 22.
Here is our schedule for Thursday including food and technology distribution.
In addition to classes going online, there will be no after school activities or other events through Monday, Feb. 22. During this time, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect the entire school.
The Department of Health will contact students and staff personally if there is a need for individuals to quarantine for a longer period.
My team and I stand ready to help make this transition as smooth as possible. I will post this information and more on our school website in case you need to review it, and I will keep you up to date as new information becomes available.
