I am so excited to join the Mandarin School Family as the newly appointed Principal for the 2020-2021 school year. I am entering my 21st year in education, all of which have been here in Duval County. I served as a teacher, instructional coach, Assistant Principal and Principal at the middle school level for fifteen years before moving to the position of Principal at Englewood High School five years ago. I quickly realized my place was at the high school level and I wake up each day feeling privleged to serve my students.
As we begin to emerge as a school, district, state and nation from this unprecedented time in our history, I am not certain what Mandarin families can expect in terms of specifics as we prepare to open schools for the 2020-2021 school year. However, what I COMMIT to you is that we will do it together, as a school family, and every decision made will be in the best interests of our Mandarin High School students.
I look forward to meeting each of you and working with you to take Mandarin to the next level of success with connection, communication, high expectations and unwaivering support. Please don't hesitate to contact me this summer as I will be transitioning to the school campus full time during the first week of June.
Mandarin High School is ....
"A" School On The Rise in the 2020-2021 school year. Look forward to all that is to come, Mustangs!
