Anchored4Life at Anchor Academy

The ever-growing Anchored4Life program—also known as the Anchored4Life Club—is a peer-to-peer transition and resiliency initiative that offers lasting opportunities and meaningful support systems for elementary and middle school students. Its goal is to enhance life skills, build confidence, and reinforce self-worth, empathy, and integrity.

At Anchor Academy, our 4th and 5th grade students actively participate in the Anchored4Life Club. Mrs. Eliese Keith, our school counselor, serves as the Transition Team Coordinator, while our Military & Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) provide valuable support through small-group instruction. Together, they guide this peer-led club in fostering leadership, building character, enhancing self-esteem, and helping students develop empathy and strong social skills as they integrate into their school community.

Within the club, Team Leaders are responsible for leading meetings and selecting meaningful, motivational quotes that are featured daily on the school’s morning broadcast, "WAAE."

Supporting them are the A4L Crew Members, who help welcome new students and ease their transition into the school environment.

Throughout the year, Team Leaders also organize impactful school-wide projects such as The White Table Ceremony and The Yellow Ribbon Campaign, which further strengthen community, awareness, and student connection.
