AP Exam Fees
& Late Testing Policy
AP Exam Costs

2. Drop an AP exam late.

3. Fail to show up for a scheduled exam.
· Any unused exam will incur a $40 fee.
Note:
· Fees must be paid through School Cash Online before your account will be cleared for graduation.
Late AP Exam Testing Policy
Students are expected to take their AP exams on the scheduled date. However, late testing may be permitted in certain cases.
Late Testing Automatically Rescheduled
No documentation or fee required. Ms. Hozey will reschedule your exam if any of the following apply:
· You have two AP exams scheduled at the same time.
· You receive College Board–approved accommodations that require rescheduling.
· Your AP exam conflicts with Atlantic Coast High School’s graduation ceremony.
· School is closed on your exam day.
Late Testing Requiring Documentation
You must submit documentation to Ms. Hozey for review. If approved, your exam will be rescheduled at no charge and you will be notified of the new testing date and time.
Approved Situations:
· School-Sponsored Academic or Athletic Event
→ Ask your coach, club sponsor, or athletic director to notify Ms. Hozey of your activity date and time.
· Event with an External Organization
→ Provide a letter from your coach or sponsor along with supporting documentation (such as a schedule, invitation, or certificate).
· Medical Emergency (Illness or Injury)
→ Submit a doctor’s note on official letterhead stating the date and general nature of illness/injury.
· Family Tragedy
→ Submit documentation (such as an obituary or funeral/memorial program).
· Court Appearance
→ Submit official court paperwork (such as a subpoena)
➤ Action: If one of these applies, submit the required documentation to Ms. Hozey as soon as possible.
Late Testing Reasons that Will Not Be Approved:
· Oversleeping
· Traffic delays or leaving too late
· Forgetting your exam date or time
· Lack of preparation or poor planning
These are not considered valid reasons for late testing. If you miss your exam for one of these reasons, you will not be rescheduled and will be charged a $40 unused exam fee. Plan ahead, set alarms, and check your exam schedule in advance. You are responsible for showing up on time, ready to test.
