The AP Honors Academy at Atlantic Coast High School is a rigorous, four-year academic program designed for highly motivated students seeking a challenging and enriching high school experience. This program ensures that all core courses in Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics are taken at the Honors or Advanced Placement (AP) level, providing students with a strong academic foundation for college and beyond.

As part of the AP Honors Academy, students participate in the AP Capstone Program, a distinguished diploma program that emphasizes critical thinking, research, and communication skills. The AP Capstone Diploma is earned by completing AP Seminar and AP Research, along with four additional AP courses. All students in the AP Honors Academy must complete a minimum of nine (9) AP courses before graduation.

This program demands a high level of motivation, focus, and determination. Students who successfully fulfill the requirements receive a special AP Honors Academy diploma seal, signifying their commitment to academic excellence. Through this experience, students develop essential skills such as critical thinking, time management, effective communication, and analytical writing—preparing them for success in higher education and their future careers.

By joining the AP Honors Academy, students become part of a community of scholars dedicated to intellectual growth and achievement, ensuring they leave high school ready to excel in college and beyond.
