Engineering Club
The Engineering Club empowers students to become confident problem solvers by engaging in hands on engineering design, collaboration, and innovation. Members identify real challenges within their school and local community and work together to research, design, build, and test practical solutions. Through team based projects, competitions, and exposure to real world engineering pathways, students develop technical skills, creativity, and a strong engineering identity while learning how engineering can make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
Gamma Rays Robotics Team (FTC)
Coaches: Mr. Portelos and Mr. Travers
The Atlantic Coast Robotics Team empowers students to explore robotics, engineering, and technology through hands on design and collaborative problem solving. Competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge under the team name Gamma Rays, members identify real challenges within their school and local community and apply the engineering design process to build, program, test, and refine robotic solutions. Through teamwork, innovation, and competition, students develop technical skills, critical thinking, and confidence while learning how robotics can create meaningful, real world impact.
