The Social Studies Department at Atlantic Coast High School offers a dynamic and rigorous curriculum designed to foster critical thinking, global awareness, and civic engagement. With a wide range of courses, including Dual Enrollment American History, Advanced Placement (AP) options in World, U.S., and European History, Government, Economics, Human Geography, and Psychology, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves and earn college credit. In addition to core history and government classes, electives such as Psychology and Sociology allow students to explore human behavior and societal structures. Our dedicated teachers prepare students for success beyond high school by equipping them with the analytical skills necessary for college, careers, and informed citizenship.
