Empowering Every Student
Our students love learning and playing alongside their friends while also feeling seen and cared for as individuals. Alimacani Elementary has robust programs for gifted students, as well as programs for students with special needs that don't remove them from the classrooms they share with their peers. Our goal is to foster an environment of acceptance and inclusivity where no one feels singled out.
Community Spirit
Despite our size, our community feels like a small, close family. Parents love knowing their children’s classmates and getting to know other Alimacani parents through PTA and other volunteer opportunities.
Engaging Early Education
We offer full-time pre-K both exceptional education students, as well as Voluntary Pre-K (VPK with state voucher) for 4-year-olds. These programs support the whole student, preparing them for kindergarten. VPK enrollment is by lottery with applications available January - February.
Unique Blend of Tradition
Our Alimacani Family is a special blend of cooperation, patriotism, tradition, and curiosity influenced by our history and location. Convenient to Naval Station Mayport, we serve many military families. A quarter of our students are not zoned for Alimacani and choose to be part of our learning community. We are an eclectic, vibrant mix that learns more together.

Gifted Inclusion
Full-time gifted resources for students. With a solid understanding of gifted learners, teachers design instruction to meet their specific needs as well as build upon their strengths.
Purple Star School
A Purple Star School, as designated by the Florida Department of Education. Acknowledged for the support that we provide to military-connected students and their families.
Leadership
Encouraging student leadership skills through student service organizations
PTA
Our award-winning PTA plays an enormous role in shaping our students’ experiences, and we deeply appreciate the passion, insights, and fun activities they create for our children.
