PE Helper
The PE Helpers of Chimney Lakes Elementary are a dedicated group of student leaders sponsored by our Physical Education teachers. This program gives students the opportunity to take on responsibility, show leadership, and support our school community in meaningful ways.
PE Helpers are selected from out 5th grade students. At the beginning of the school year, interested students apply by writing a letter explaining why they would like to be a PE Helper and how they would be a positive role model for others. Each application must be signed by the student's classroom teacher and a parent.
PE Helpers meet every morning before school in the multipurpose room, where they assist with a variety of important tasks. Their responsibilities include setting up equipment for PE classes, crushing cans for recycling, preparing Campbell's UPC codes for submission, delivering Recycle Bucks, serving as clerks in the Recycling Store, and helping during special events such as Play Day.
Through teamwork and service, PE Helpers play an important role in keeping our PE program running smoothly while making a positive impact on our school.
