Welcome
What is Title I?
At Englewood High School, Title I is a federally funded program that provides additional academic support and learning opportunities to help students succeed—particularly in schools with high percentages of students from low-income households. The goal is to ensure that all students meet or exceed Florida’s academic standards.
Goals of Title I at Englewood High School:
Increase academic achievement for all students
Provide direct instructional support through additional academic resources and interventions
Offer professional development to support teacher growth and effectiveness
Promote parent education and engagement in their child’s academic success
Key Components of Our Title I Schoolwide Program:
1. Schoolwide Reform Strategies
Targeted initiatives to address the needs of all students at Englewood High School, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities.
2. Instruction by Highly Qualified Teachers
Instruction is delivered by certified professionals who continue to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
3. Parental Involvement
We actively encourage parent participation in the planning, review, and improvement of our school and its programs. Engaged families strengthen student success.
4. Additional Academic Support
Timely and effective interventions are provided for students who are struggling, ensuring no student is left behind.
5. Transition Planning
Although Englewood High focuses on grades 9–12, we collaborate with feeder middle schools to support smooth transitions into high school, especially for incoming 9th graders.
