Fort Caroline Middle School Uniform Policy

Fort Caroline School of the Visual and Performing Arts is a Duval County Public School that enforces a mandatory uniform and the General Code of Appearance. We expect all students to adhere to the dress code and dress for success daily. Uniform shirts can be ordered through the vendor Total Impact or in the school’s Main Office (Cash Only).

Uniform Requirements:

Not Permitted on Campus:

  • Leggings

  • Jeggings

  • Pajama pants

  • Pants with rips and tears

  • Shorts

  • Skirts

  • Crocs

  • Flip-flops

  • Slides

  • Slippers

  • Hats

  • Hoods

  • Scarves

  • Bonnets

  • Bandanas

Shirts:

  • Polos or long sleeve shirts with Fort Caroline logo

Pants:

  • Uniform pants

  • Dress pants

  • Khaki or twill pants

  • Jeans

  • Joggers

  • Sweatpants

Shoes:

  • Closed-toe shoes with a back

  • Sneakers

Outerwear:

  • Zip-ups or crewnecks with Fort Caroline logo

Head Coverings:

  • Elastic headbands

Exceptions may be made for religious observance, documented medical need, or administrative approval.

Student IDs:

Students will receive their initial ID card free of charge. ID cards must be worn around the neck on a lanyard at all times while on campus, on school transportation, and at school-sponsored events. The photo must remain visible and unobstructed.

Replacement items are $5 each: ID card, ID case, or lanyard.
