Information on Student-led Transition Program

The ever-growing military transition program through our safety patrol is a peer-to-peer transition and resiliency initiative that offers lasting opportunities and meaningful support systems for elementary and middle school students. Its goal is to enhance life skills, build confidence, and reinforce self-worth, empathy, and integrity.

Our 5th grade students actively participate in assisting our military students, our school counselor, serves as the Transition Team Coordinator, provides valuable support through small-group instruction. Together, they guide this peer-led club in fostering leadership, building character, enhancing self-esteem, and helping students develop empathy and strong social skills as they integrate into their school community.

Throughout the year, Team Leaders also organize impactful school-wide projects such that celebrates the entire military community, which further strengthen community, awareness, and student connection.
