Jeffrey Horton is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and an experienced music educator with more than 15 years of service in music education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Kentucky State University and his Master of Education degree from Georgetown College.

Mr. Horton is excited and honored to join Trojan Nation as the Director of Bands at Jean Ribault High School. He looks forward to building upon the school’s rich tradition of excellence, fostering student growth, and contributing to the proud legacy of the Mighty Marching Trojans.

A dedicated family man, Mr. Horton has been married to his wife, Candyce Horton, for 20 years. Together they are the proud parents of two wonderful children who attend Florida A&M University and perform as members of the world-renowned Marching 100.

Mr. Horton is eager to serve the students, families, alumni, and community of Ribault High School and is committed to leading the band program with dedication, determination, discipline, and a passion for musical excellence.
