A Place Where Students Thrive
The coastal sciences magnet program Mayport Elementary is uniquely shaped by its location, offering an integrated approach to education that embeds the coastal sciences in core instruction. Students can continue this thematic approach to learning with Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School.
Coastal Sciences Program
As the only DCPS elementary coastal science program we have a STEM Marine Science Lab with two saltwater touch tanks that provide students with the opportunity to explore sea life. We are also home to a 60-year-old tortoise and a fish hatchery where fish are raised by students and released to the wild. Our students have a hands-on education unlike any other.
Communication and Social Skills Pre-K-5 Program
Our Communication and Social Skills program serves children with communication and social disabilities. Our program is standards-based with a focus on communication and social skills therapy.
