Anchored4Life Military Leadership Club
The Anchored4Life Military Leadership Club is a student-led, peer-to-peer program designed to help children develop resilience, leadership, character, and social-emotional skills while building meaningful connections within the school community. The program provides opportunities for students to strengthen communication skills, improve self-esteem, learn leadership strategies, and support their peers through life's challenges and transitions.
At Mandarin Oaks Elementary School, the Anchored4Life Military Leadership Club empowers students to become positive role models and leaders who help create a welcoming, supportive environment for all learners, including military-connected students. Through service projects, leadership activities, team-building experiences, and peer support initiatives, club members learn how to inspire others, contribute to their school community, and develop lifelong skills for success.
Anchored4Life's mission is to help students become resilient, confident, and resourceful, equipping them with tools to navigate change, overcome challenges, and make a positive impact on those around them. The program supports the development of essential life skills while fostering a culture of kindness, leadership, and belonging.

Ms. Jaclyn Rhodes
My name is Jaclyn Rhodes, and I proudly serve as a co-advisor for the Anchored4Life Club at Mandarin Oaks Elementary. As a military spouse of 18 years, I have a deep appreciation for the unique experiences and challenges faced by military families. My husband retired from the U.S. Navy in 2022, and throughout his career, our children attended multiple schools across the country—an experience that has shaped my passion for supporting students through transitions.
This is my fifth-year teaching at Mandarin Oaks, where I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. I am also a proud mother and grandmother. My stepdaughter, Cheyenne, lives in Virginia with her family; my son, Colin, recently began his college journey at Clemson University; and my daughter, Teagan, is currently a junior at Mandarin High School. The 26-27 school year, Anchored 4 Life will enter its second year here at MOE.
