The elementary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program at Rutledge H. Pearson Elementary School will be the First magnet program of its kind for Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) that includes both science and the arts.   

Hands-on experiments and interactive activities will provide a strong foundation for students interested in enhancing their knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Critical thinking skills are cultivated by focusing on real-world applications and creating a lab-based environment, and students are prepared for higher education. By using engineering in both real-world and career-based resources, this program will prepare students to be competitive in a global society.
