I am thrilled to be the Principal of Reynolds Lane Elementary for the 2024-2025 school year! I have been committed to the field of education for over 30 years, working with a variety of students ranging in age from kindergarten through 8th grade. I can draw upon experiences throughout my career as a teacher, Reading Coach, Adjunct Professor, Assistant Principal and Principal.
I am passionate about being a strong Instructional Leader for students, families, faculty and staff where clear goals and expectations are focused on teaching and learning so that both student and teacher excel in and out of the classroom.
The focus on teaching will look like a collective and shared vision that is data-driven to ensure that our goals and expectations are met, not just academically, but socially and emotionally, so that our teaching and learning reflect the content intellect as well as the emotional intellect.
The focus on student learning will look like high levels of student engagement that is student centered so that students know what they are learning why, and are engaged in their own successes, interests and skills in the learning process that promotes student agency.
Student behavior will look like teachable moments that include best instructional practices so that the students are responsible for their own learning as well as their behavior.
I am looking forward to continuing to build the community relationships with the families at Reynolds Lane so that our students can and will grow, excel and achieve, resulting in incredible local and global citizens.
I am committed to focusing on the teaching and learning of ALL, celebrating student successes, concentrating on what matters with regard to student outcomes as we continue to plant seeds and grow leaders here at Reynolds Lane!
