Sandalwood is home to a premiere Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC). FL939's trophy case is overflowing with local, state, and national awards. Traveling to and winning several Florida State and National Championships has earned Sandalwood's AFJROTC's program the reputation of being one of the top five units in the United States.

There are over 2,000 cadets that attend JROTC (various service branches) in Duval County. Operation Footprint is an event gathering meant for all JROTC cadets in the county, providing the opportunity to showcase the incredible US Military Services, First Responders, and their affiliate partners. There is plenty of space on campus for demonstrations, trainings, and insightful discussions.

This event is OPEN to cadets (and their parents) from ALL 14 JROTC UNITS in Duval County. Please reach out to your unit's cadet staff/instructor team to get your unit signed up to attend! Commitments must be made NLT February 14, 2025. Refer to Lt Col Morris' email sent out to DCPS JROTC instructors and stakeholders to RVSP your unit/team.
