School Counselor

About Me: I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I graduated from Liberty University in 2021 with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. This is will be my 4th year as an elementary school counselor and my 3rd year working at Spring Park Elementary.

Individual & Small Group Individual & Small Group Counseling: To provide a safe and confidential environment for students to discuss many topics regarding their social/emotional and academic needs. Topics include friendship, stress, bullying, social skills, organization, development of problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, anger management, grief/loss, boundaries, and self-esteem.

Classroom Counseling: To develop and implement K-5 classroom curriculum driven by national and district school counseling outcomes. Co-planning and co-teaching lessons with other professionals in the building support social and emotional growth across curricular areas. Topics will be developmentally appropriate for each grade level.

Academic Interventions: To work with teachers and staff to provide interventions unique to each student's specific needs, in order to ensure that every student will excel to their highest academic potential. Areas include: MT, MTSS, Attendance, ESOL, and 504.

System Support: To provide assistance with connecting students & parents with outside community agencies (i.e. Full Service) to provide support for families.
