Wolfson features two academic tracks, the International Baccalaureate program and the AP/ Honors Magnet program. Both programs feature a combination of accelerated coursework, including Advanced Placement and honors-level core academic and courses.
The IB program emphasizes global awareness, critical thinking, research, and connections across subject areas, while AP allows students to challenge themselves through a wide variety of college-level courses. Both programs prepare students for success in college and beyond while allowing them to pursue their individual interests and goals.
The IB Program
The IB program pathway at Wolfson offers students the chance to earn college credit in six separate areas of study, while also embarking on an independent research project and undertaking personal challenges that contribute to global awareness, community, and enhanced critical thinking skills. At the conclusion of the IB program students have the opportunity to earn the IB diploma in addition to their high school diploma.
The AP Program
The Advanced Placement pathway offers students the chance to take advanced and college-level coursework in their preferred areas of study. Wolfson offers a wide range of AP courses across all subject areas, and students in both the AP and IB program are given the chance to take AP courses starting in 9th grade.
