It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Twin Lakes Academy Middle School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twelve years. I have worked with a variety of students' ranging in age from Kindergarten through middle school. My most recent administrative experience was at Alfred I. duPont Middle School where I served as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an instructional leader to Twin Lakes Academy Middle School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure the success of all children.

Mr. Copeland, a Jacksonville native, began serving Duval County Public School students in 2011 where he taught reading to at-risk high school students who struggled academically.  From there he served as a Dean of Students at the Bridge to Success, Magnet Coordinator at Ed White High School, Dean of Students at Atlantic Coast High School, and now proudly supports Twin Lakes Academy Middle as the Assistant Principal of Students Services.

Ms. Dobson is a product of Duval County Public Schools, graduating from Jean Ribault Senior High School. She then matriculated and graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She has also received a Masters Degree from the University of North Florida in Educational Leadership. Ms. Dobson has served Duval County Public School students for the past 22 years.  She began her teaching career teaching Middle School Science and Reading.  From there, she became a K-5 math and science teacher, Math Coach, Science Coach, and an IB Coordinator.  She served 5 years as an Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Charger Academy, and now proudly serves as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum here at Twin Lakes Academy Middle School. She is excited about her potential to positively influence the entire school community and empower teachers, support students and assist with shaping and molding the mission and vision of the school.
