Duval McKinney-Vento Program

The primary goal of DMVP is to ensure that barriers are reduced or eliminated, so that students are able to maintain school stability when experiencing homelessness.

To determine your family's eligibility please complete the Residency Questionnaire linked to this webpage.

  • Families applying for the 2026 - 2027 school year, may do so beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

  • The questionnaire will not be available June 1-July 7, 2026. 
     

Every school district has a transition Education Liaison who helps to:

  • Partners with families to determine the school that would be best for the child

  • Communicates with the school

  • Provide school supplies, uniforms, supplemental services and free school meals

  • Transportation Assistance

  • Referrals to Social Service Agencies for financial assistance, shelter, etc.
