Westside Middle School is proud to partner with Communities In Schools to offer the TEAM UP program—a free, high-quality after-school initiative designed to support student achievement, social-emotional growth, and enrichment beyond the school day. TEAM UP provides a safe and structured environment each afternoon, beginning with a healthy snack and a brief social break. Students then transition into academic support time, where they receive homework help, tutoring, and targeted skill-building. The day concludes with enrichment blocks, where students participate in a wide range of engaging activities such as art, music, sports, STEM, cooking, dance, leadership workshops, and more.
The program fosters connection, creativity, and confidence while reinforcing the academic and behavioral expectations established during the school day. TEAM- UP operates Monday through Friday after school and is completely free to families.
TEAM UP runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, beginning August 18th, 2025.
