Where Melody Meets Mechanics: Music & STEM

At our school, we not only take pride in our STEM activities, we cultivate young musicians and give them the opportunity express themselves through music while also building continuity with high schools with band programs, like the Stanton College Preparatory High School Marching Blue Devils and the Riverside High School Marching Generals.

"In the music wing, we don't just play songs; we play with frequency. In the lab, we don't just study math; we listen to ratios. By merging the two, we learn that a coder, an engineer, and a pianist are all doing the same thing: looking for patterns in the world around them."

The Piano and STEM

We view the piano as more than a musical instrument, it is a sophisticated STEM laboratory. The intersection of music and technology offers a unique window into the physical and mathematical laws that govern our world. By integrating piano into our STEM curriculum, we provide students with a multisensory way to master complex concepts.
