  • TLAM ORIENTATION DATES - AUGUST 2018

    Friday, August 3,
    8:30 am to 3:30 pm   
    All new incoming 6th Graders
    are invited to attend the 6th Grade Summer Bridge.  This will be a fun-filled day of games and information meant just for 6th graders.  Additional information will be mailed home prior to the orientation.  Parents this is a great way for your 6th grader to learn first day/week survival skills.  Please plan to attend.

  • 8TH GRADE SPRING BREAK TRIP 2019

     

    Hey 8th Graders!  Would you like to take a fun and educational trip to Washington, D.C. with your classmates next year?  The trip is scheduled from 3/9/2019 to 3/12/2019. We are using the professional travel company Grand Classroom to plan every aspect of the trip. Visit the school trip webpage at www.grandclassroom.com, click “Find My Trip / Register” and search “Twin Lakes Academy Middle”. Register now for the price of $1511, which covers everything on the trip – all transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, sightseeing and evening activities as well as medical insurance.

     

    PLEASE NOTE: If you sign up after 9/1/2018 the tour price goes up to $1611. Price is based on 35 full paying travelers. The best way to register is online. We may need to limit the numbers, so register as soon as you can.   • FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS

     

    Twin Lakes Academy Middle School is happy to announce that we will be serving free breakfast and lunch for all students this year.  Breakfast is served in the cafeteria between 9:00 am and 9:25 am and students have a choice of a quick bag with granola bar, yogurt and milk or a freshly prepared hot breakfast.  During lunches students have the choice of the hot meal of the day or a sandwich or salad from the deli line. Students who wish to purchase snacks will do so during the last 15 minutes of each lunch.  Students who are assigned to ISSP, will have their breakfast and lunch delivered to the ISSP Classroom.

    Welcome to the Den! Twin Lakes Academy Middle School (TLAM) is home to approximately 1300 students in grades 6-8 from Beach Boulevard to Bartram Springs. The school is centrally located on the southside of Jacksonville. Its location on Baymeadows Road along Interstate 295N makes it accessible regardless of place of residence. We offer comprehensive and challenging curricula from our most challenging gifted courses to our more supportive intensive courses in reading and math. Students who meet our prerequisite classes have the opportunity to take up to five high school classes (Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, Digital Information Technology and Spanish I) during their time at TLAM. We also have a state-of-the-art STEM lab, 2D and 3D visual arts rooms, a comprehensive band and choral suite and two computer labs. Each academic classroom is equipped with a laptop cart and a large screen digital display screen with a student response system.  In addition, we have a full range of opportunities available in athletics, the arts, and a variety of clubs and activities.
