TRANSITION TO HIGH SCHOOL NIGHT - Thursday, December 7
Transition to High School Night is this Thursday, December 7, in the Auditorium at 6:30 PM. All 7th and 8th graders are welcomed to bring their parents to learn more about moving onto high school. You will have an opportunity to hear about the programs that are offered and speak with a representative from different high schools. We will also have representatives from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts at school during the day. Students interested in meeting with the DA representative need to sign up in the guidance by the end of the day on Tuesday.
TLAM SPELLING BEE
We have registered for the Scripps National Spelling Bee and will holding a Spelling Bee here at TLAM. We have completed the first round of Spelling Bee qualifications and narrowed our list to the Top 25. Students will complete in the TLAM Spelling Bee on Tuesday, December 19, during 7th Period to see who will represent Twin Lakes Academy Middle School at the District Spelling Bee in January. Good Luck to everyone who qualified.
THE END OF THE SECOND NINE WEEKS IS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20
The second nine weeks grading period ends before Winter Break on Wednesday, December 20. Grades will be posted on Monday, January 8. Second Nine Weeks Progress Reports were issued on Monday, November 20 during 8th block. Please review grades with your son/daughter and check the FOCUS grade portal for any updates. If you have questions please contact your son/daughter's teacher(s) nol later than December 18.
Wolfson High School IB Program
On Monday, November 20, Mr. Begley, Principal at Wolfson High School, spoke with over 80 TLAM 8th grade students about the IB program at Wolfson High School. All of these students meet the eligibility requirements for this prestigious program. Ask your student about it if they received an invitation.

FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS
Twin Lakes Academy Middle School is happy to announce that we will be serving free breakfast and lunch for all students this year. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria between 9:00 am and 9:25 am and students have a choice of a quick bag with granola bar, yogurt and milk or a freshly prepared hot breakfast. During lunches students have the choice of the hot meal of the day or a sandwich or salad from the deli line. Students who wish to purchase snacks will do so during the last 15 minutes of each lunch. Students who are assigned to ISSP, will have their breakfast and lunch delivered to the ISSP Classroom.
