Supporting the Growth and Development of Children

Anchor Academy Elementary plays a vital role in the Atlantic Beach community, especially for families with VPK-5 students. With small class sizes, dedicated high-performing teachers, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, the school offers a well-rounded education that supports every child’s growth and development.

Tailoring Education to Each of Our Students

We implement individualized education plans to cater to each student's diverse learning styles and needs. We integrate SEL programs to promote emotional intelligence, resilience, and positive relationships among students. We provide tailored resources and services to support military families, including transition assistance and counseling. We expand clubs and activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills.

A Strong Connection to Military Families

Located near Naval Station Mayport, Anchor Academy is strongly connected to military families, with many faculty members having military backgrounds themselves. This unique environment provides invaluable resources and services focused on student wellness and achievement, benefiting all students—military and nonmilitary alike. The school’s commitment to fostering a supportive community ensures that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.

A Place for Students to Explore Interests

A wide variety of clubs and activities allows students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and make friends outside the classroom. For many students from military families, the understanding and support for their unique circumstances help them feel at home. Regular recognition of student accomplishments — big and small — encourages pride and motivation among the students.
