Hello Stingray Nation,
Prom will be on Saturday, April 12th. Tickets are on sale now online only at dcps.schoolcashonline.com. The cost is $85. Information sheets that included permission slips and outside guest forms were distributed through English classes earlier this month. They were also emailed to all students DCPS emails. If you did not receive one, please see your English teacher. The deadline to submit your outside guest forms is this Friday, April 4th.

Students interested in running for Prom Court can submit their nomination forms in room 104 during all lunches and after school starting tomorrow, Monday, March 31st. The last day for nominations will be Friday, April 4th.
Here is an important testing update for our Morning of No Movement "MNM Shutdown Day" This Wednesday, April 2nd.
9th and 10th grade students will be taking the BEST Writing assessment.
11th grade students will be taking the in-school SAT.
12th grade students will report to a silent study hall during the testing window.
Please note:
Students taking the BEST Writing test must use a DCPS-issued device.
Students taking the SAT may use a personal device or a DCPS device, as long as the Bluebook app is installed and up-to-date.
Due to testing security, no student call-outs will be allowed between 7:45am and 11:15am.
We want to make you aware of an important update regarding student laptops.
Due to a district-wide shortage of available devices, we are taking proactive steps on campus to ensure we can support students for the rest of this school year and into the next. At this time, there are no additional laptops available to replace those with minor damage or those that simply need reimaging.
Moving forward:
If a student’s device needs to be reimaged, it can still be turned in for service, but no loaner will be provided. The goal is to return the device within 48 hours.
Devices with minor damage—such as a cracked screen or missing key—must still be used as long as they are functional.
If a device is non-functional, students will receive one loaner device. If that loaner is returned damaged, a second loaner will not be issued.
We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we work to manage resources responsibly during this challenging time.
Senior families please be sure to review the digital senior update at https://bit.ly/achs2025. Graduation will be here soon and it’s important to be as prepared as possible before the big day.
As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
