The theme for this year’s Homecoming dance is “Dancing in the Moonlight.” Tickets to the dance are $35 and can be purchased online at dcps.schoolcashonline.com. Tickets must be purchased online in advanced, no tickets will be available the day of the dance. Tickets have sold out the last few years, so don’t wait! Members of the senior bundle do not need to purchase a ticket, one was included in your bundle.
The online option for “guest passes” is for students who will be attending the dance that do not attend Atlantic Coast. You must submit a completed outside guest form in order to purchase this ticket. You can pick up and turn in forms in room 212. A PDF of the outside guest form was also emailed out to your DCPS student emails. For more information, please contact Mrs. Leon-Williams in room 212.
Homecoming Court Applications are available in room 212. Forms are due no later than Friday, September 19th in room 212.
Senior parents mark your calendars: the fall senior parent meeting is on September 24th at 6pm in the auditorium. Attendance at this meeting will earn your student an additional ticket to graduation so we look forward to seeing you all there.
Seniors and juniors who need to take the FAST ELA 10 Reading test or BEST Algebra 1 EOC will be testing this week, September 16th – 18th. Students should check their email for their testing schedule. Please note that not all juniors will be testing. Students who still need a reading concordance score after testing on Tuesday or Wednesday will take the CLT on Thursday, September 18th, as an alternative way to meet graduation requirements. These assessments are required for graduation, and attendance is essential.
Attention Seniors: We are officially in college application season. If you’re planning to apply to colleges or universities, please check the application deadlines for each school you're interested in. These deadlines are available on the official websites of the colleges and universities. Many schools have Early Action deadlines as early as October 15th, so it’s important not to delay. Start now and stay ahead of the deadlines!
As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
