Stingray Nation Weekly Update Atlantic Coast High School

Hello Stingray Nation!

This is a reminder that any student arriving after 11:30 a.m. must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a written note from a parent/guardian or doctor in order to enter the school building. Please ensure that proper arrangements are made if a late arrival is necessary. This policy helps us maintain a safe and accountable environment for all students. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

As the weather turns colder, we want to remind students that hats and hoods are not to be worn while on campus. Also remember that blankets are not allowed on campus. On cold days, please wear a jacket and do not bring any blankets to school.

Quarter 2 progress reports will be posted to Focus accounts at the close of school on Tuesday, November 18th. Please ensure you are monitoring your Parent/Guardian Focus account and are in communication with your student about their current performance. Quarter 2 ends on Friday, December 19th, before Winter Break. With just more than four weeks remaining, let’s be proactive to finish this quarter strong!

This week is a spirit week hosted by HOSA! Dress up and join us:

  • Monday is the HOSA Thanksgiving Drive

FAST and BEST EOC retakes for seniors and juniors still needing concordant reading and/or math test scores will be given during the week of December 8th – 12th. EOCs for students taking Algebra 1, Geometry, U.S. History, and Biology through FLVS will also be administered the same week. In addition, the FCLE will be administered to students taking U.S. Government through FLVS. The exact date and time of testing will be communicated to students’ DCPS email the week prior. Students should take time now to begin preparing for these important tests.

Join us this Thursday, November 20th, at 6pm for the Spanish National Honor Society induction ceremony in the ACHS auditorium.

Stingray Seniors and Families- We’re excited to start preparing diplomas for the Class of 2026! To ensure everything is correct, please take a moment to check your first, middle, and last name in your DCPS Focus account. Diplomas will be printed exactly as the name appears in Focus and verified with the birth certificate on file. If anything needs to be corrected, please email Ms. McIntosh at mcintoshw@duvalschools.org by Friday, December 19th. Thanks for your help in making this process smoother. We can’t wait to celebrate your big day!

Reminder: for seniors using the Common Application to complete college applications before the upcoming break, please remember to link your Common App account to Xello and invite your school counselor.

Senior bundle members! Your gear has arrived! Go to the windows of room 213 during lunch on Monday, November 17th, to pick up your items.

As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
