Stingray Nation Weekly Update Atlantic Coast High School

Hello Stingray Nation!

This week is Literacy Week at ACHS! From Monday, January 26th to Friday, January 30th we will have a variety of literacy-based activities happening on campus. Students can learn more about the events for the week by watching The Morning Rays!

Are you looking to purchase some cold weather Stingray gear? The PTSA has a fanwear store open selling AC long-sleeve quarter zips. You have until February 2nd to place your order at achsstingrays.com

Stingrays, don’t forget that there is tutoring is available for all students after school on both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 pm-4:30 pm. Students interested in attending are to report to the Media Center at 2:30 pm. Teachers will be available from all core content areas during this time.

The next PERT will be offered on Wednesday, February 18th, after school. PERT is important for students who wish to take dual enrollment classes. It is also one avenue for earning senior leave. Students should check One View for qualification information and a link to a registration sign-up sheet. The sign-up will be open until Thursday, February 12th.

This Wednesday, January 28th, is our annual senior breakfast. All students who purchased the senior bundle and those who purchased a separate ticket can attend. You will receive an invitation on Tuesday.

Immediately following the senior breakfast on Wednesday, all seniors will be dismissed to the gym to take our senior panoramic photo. Seniors need to be on campus to be included in the photo. If you are absent on Wednesday, you will not be in the panoramic photo. Please wear your senior gear or a black Atlantic Coast shirt if you have one.

Interested in acting? Want to be in the school play? If so, come out and audition. Auditions are this Tuesday and Wednesday, January 27th and 28th, at 2pm in the auditorium. See you there!

Join us for a Spirit Night at Dave & Buster’s this Tuesday, January 27th from 5–8 pm hosted by SGA. Bring your friends and family for games, food, and fun while supporting Atlantic Coast! 20% of all purchases during the event will be donated back. Play hard, eat well, and give back!

Senior families if you missed the senior parent meeting this past week, you can view all the information covered online on the ACHS website. Go to https://bit.ly/stingraseniors today!

There are less than 70 tickets for this year’s Grad Bash trip to Universal remaining! Go to dcps.schoolcashonline.com to purchase your ticket no later than February 1st. But be warned – this trip will very likely sell out before that date!
