Student IDs will be fully enforced beginning tomorrow. All students are required to wear their ID while on campus. Students who have not yet received an ID will have an opportunity to visit the Media Center during lunch to receive one. Students who forget or leave their ID at home will be issued a temporary wristband and charged for a replacement ID.

As we celebrate our spirit week, students are reminded that the school dress code remains in effect throughout the week. Weapons, masks, or face coverings of any kind are not permitted, including costume or prop weapons. Students’ faces must remain fully visible at all times.
If you need a Beat Mandarin shirt or some AC gear, head over to the windows of room 213 (the painted windows over by the auditorium) to purchase some during lunch this week.
The Schedule Correction Form is now closed. School counselors will continue reviewing correction requests this week. Students should check their FOCUS accounts daily to ensure they are following the correct schedule. For schedule change requests that have been denied, students will receive a notification via their DCPS student email with reason(s) for why their schedule change request was not approved.
Senior ad pages for this year’s yearbook are on sale at yearbookordercenter.com. This is also where you can place your orders for a yearbook. Last year we sold out of both senior ads and yearbooks. Right now is their lowest price of the year so don’t wait!
Seniors, be sure to schedule your senior photos with Cady Studios at cady.com/schedule. Only photos taken with Cady will be in the yearbook.

Grades 9-11 can purchase the Underclassmen Bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, a Stingray Nation t-shirt and crewneck sweatshirt.
Seniors can purchase the Senior Bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, senior clothing and gear, a ticket to prom and the new winter white out dance, and more! You can pay in full or you can make a down payment as part of the payment plan, your choice.
Once you have made your purchase, you must show your receipt to Ms. Solomon during your lunch. You will find her in room 123 (next door to the media center). Make sure you see her this week so that you can receive your sports pass to use at the game this Friday night!
Go ahead and mark your calendars: Homecoming Week this year is September 8th – September 11th. More information will be coming soon so keep an eye out on the Morning Rays and your DCPS student emails.
Ray Rally will be that Wednesday, September 9th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The Homecoming football game will be that Friday, September 11th, with kick-off at 6:30 PM.
Our annual Homecoming Dance will be that Saturday, September 12th, in the gym.
